Henley High School and Alcester Choir join forces for unique double event

Henley in Arden High School and the Alcester Male Voice Choir have joined forces for a special supper and concert evening being held to kick start the schools fund raising programme for a new mini bus. But the choir will also be using the concert to stage their annual recruitment evening. The choir will perform a varied selection of songs preceded by a Bangers & Mash supper. Paul Wright Head of Henley High said ” we are delighted a choir with such an excellent reputation has agreed to support us at the start of this new fund raising initiative , some of our own students will also be performing on stage, it promises to be an excellent evening. Judith Land, Alcester Male Voice Choir Director of Music said we have for many years held our recruitment evening in the Autumn as part of our regular rehearsal in Alcester, but this concert has presented us with a unique opportunity which will enable those interested in joining to see the choir in a live concert setting. There is no audition process, all we ask is that prospective new members enjoy singing and are prepared to make the commitment when ready to take part in the many concerts held on a regular basis to support local charities. Anyone interested in joining can come along for the supper or just afterwards before we start singing but should should call me first on 07886 139781 . I can then explain what we are all about and what the arrangements are for the evening ”
The concert takes place on Wednesday 21st September at the High School and tickets are £12 available from the school on 01564 792364 or from the concert organiser 01564 793746
