Alcester Male Voice Choir – Looking to welcome new members
The Alcester Male Voice Choir are looking forward to welcoming potential new members when they open their doors for their annual “Open Singing Evening” later this month. This well established choir, founded by current Director of Music , Judith Land BEM, FRSA has an enviable reputation for both its diverse repertoire and quality of singing and has over the years raised many thousands of pounds for various charities and local organisations.
The choir is made up of gentlemen from all walks of life and differing musical abilities, but it is this diversity that has made the choir so successful and as Judith explains ” we are a community choir and as such there are no auditions, all I ask is that members enjoy singing, commit to the weekly rehearsals which are held Wednesday evenings in Alcester, then after a few months probationary period, providing they feel confident take part in regular monthly concerts. Whilst membership is open to gentlemen of all ages , who are young at heart, I would like to extend a welcome to the younger generation to come along and experience a typical evening of singing in a choir and find out what is so special about singing with the Alcester Male Voice Choir. During the evening existing members will also be willing to share some of their most unforgettable experiences with the choir both from concerts at home and overseas tours”
The Open Evening takes place on Wednesday 21st September at The Jubilee Centre, St Faiths Road, Alcester, starting at 7.30pm. In order that a pack of music can be prepared, gentlemen interested should contact Judith on 07886 139781 0r email her on firstname.lastname@example.org
