Local choir looking for more men to hit the high notes

Alcester Male Voice Choir is urgently looking to recruit 5 gentlemen in the top tenor section to join them immediately after Christmas. The reason is that the choir held a very successful recruitment evening last September and several men joined, but none of them sang top tenor!

Judith Land, Founder-Director of Music explains that the choir is divided into 4 sections and the new top tenors would add to the balance of the overall sound. There is no audition process but a commitment to rehearsals in Alcester each Wednesday evening is very important.

Concert wise, the choir is a very busy choir giving one charity concert per month. They have recently made a recording with the BBC and will feature in the very popular programme ‘Countryfile’ which will be shown on Sunday December 23rdat 6.30pm.
