Alcester Male Voice Choirs special concert to celebrate 45th Anniversary

Alcester Male Voice Choirs special concert to celebrate 45th Anniversary the popular Alcester Male Voice Choir will be holding a special concert at a special venue, Worcester Cathedral on Saturday 11th May at 7.30pm.

The concert theme is “Music for Everyone” and this is reflected in the programme put together by choir founder and Director of Music Judith Land BEM. Songs will include This is the Moment, Land of Music, Aint Misbehavin, Zum Sanctus, I’m Goin Up Yonder, Tell My Father, World in Union, Hey Jude, Fly me to the Moon, Beyond the Blue Horizon, Benedictus and many others.

The choir will be supported on stage by a host of talent, including principle accompanist Elliott Rooney, Christopher Allsop on the Organ, Sara de Visser Soprano, Epsie Thompson Flute and Lizzie Parkes on the Guitar.

As well as holding a regular series of concerts locally in aid of various charities, the much travelled choir are used to appearing at prestigious venues, such as Worcester Cathedral, and only last Autumn appeared at The Royal Albert Hall in London in the Festival of Male Voice Choirs, Concert tickets have been released in two phases and due to popular demand the first phase sold out in just a few weeks. Phase two, which is the balance of the remaining tickets are now on sale, and these are in the rear Nave of the Cathedral but still afford excellent views of the stage area and are priced at £18 each.
