Alcester choir return to the big stage for 2016 Gala Concert
One of the regions most loved and respected choirs , the Alcester Male Voice Choir, is set to return to the big stage for their 2016 Annual Gala Concert.
The Town Hall in Birmingham has been chosen to host the concert, which takes place on Sunday 17th April 2016, and the 80 strong choir will be supported on stage by the Elliot Rooney Quartet and talented 13 year old soloist Billy Vale
Judith Land BEM, FRSA Choir Founder, Artistic Director and Conductor said ” the choir are used to singing in prestigious venues and were last at the Town Hall in 2012, since that time we have appeared at other top venues including Symphony Hall , Birmingham, The Royal Albert Hall and Windsor Castle as well as Cathedrals and Churches throughout the Midlands region and beyond. I have put together a varied programme which will appeal to concert goers of all ages and all musical tastes and songs will include Bridge Over Troubled Waters, The Prayer ( Wagner) Sine Nomine, Love Changes Everything, Puppet on a String, The Lords Prayer and many more. For the first time we will be actively involving and supporting another charity at out concert which will be the Fisher House project at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, who offer “home away from home” facilities for injured servicemen and their families ”
